Dean is an international award-winning director in both documentary filmmaking and commercial television. A true entrepreneur, he is an experienced director, producer and videographer. His interest in educationally based projects is evident from his work for the Discovery Channel and Discovery Health, the Learning Channel (TLC), CNN and HGTV. Dean has worked in the United States, Europe and most recently in Asia. Dean's two most recent documentary projects took him to Indonesia days after the Tsunami to work with Save the Children. Eight months later Dean was taken to New Orleans' lower 9th Ward to film Hurricane Rita and the relief efforts.

Episode Production Experience

Dean has over 15 years of experience in the video production industry. He has personally managed every aspects of live and animation production from pre-production planning through distribution. His knowledge, coupled with his existing relationships with experienced contractors will ensure that the production will be completed on time and on budget.

Award Winning Work

Many of Dean's works, including his documentary focusing on Hate Crimes ("Green on Thursdays"), have won international acclaim. The Ebos' concept pilot episodes have themselves won several industry awards including two Telly awards (for best children's programming and best program under $25,000) as well as an Aurora award for best new children's educational program.

Knows the Target

Dean has a five year old daughter and is very active in her upbringing. He volunteers at her preschool also serves as an at-large board member ,bringing him in daily contact with over 100 families that attend.


Jennifer Fishbein

Writer, Educational Expert, Producer

Jennifer has been a Chicago area elementary and high school teacher since 1991. As the creator and director of many city-wide educational programs and as a parent of young children herself, Jennifer has extensive knowledge of how children best learn. She brings realistic knowledge of the best practices in education combined with a thorough understanding of child development to the children's entertainment arena.

Education Industry Experience

Jennifer has a bachelor's degree in Special Education from the Syracuse University School of Education. She has over 15 years of teaching experience in cross-categorical and bilingual classrooms in both city and suburban districts. She has taught pre-school, elementary school and high school aged children.

Program Development

Jennifer has worked in a variety of high level development and management positions within educational programming. She served as Director of Programming at WITS (Working In The Schools), a nationally recognized not-for-profit tutor/mentoring program in Chicago. The program focused on providing well trained volunteer tutor/mentors for Chicago Public Schools as well as raising funds/donations for the schools served. Jennifer was responsible for recruiting and training over 400 individual and corporate volunteers for service in the Chicago's city Public Schools. Jennifer served as a member of the team responsible for coordinating and organizing the visit from General Colin Powell to the Chicago Public Schools. Working closely with Mayor Daley's office, The Chicago Police Department and the Chicago School Board, she assisted in the coordination of corporate/private sector volunteers, teachers and students for visits and lectures from General Powell and President Bill Clinton.

Understanding the Target

Jennifer has worked with over 250 families of young children determining the optimum way to teach their children. Jennifer currently works full-time as a resource teacher in Highland Park, IL focusing on children with special needs. She is also a mother to two daughters, ages 5 and 9.


Dawn Fitzgerald

Supervising Producer

Dawn began her career in New York as a researcher for the National Geographic television series Explorer. This early success lead her to a research position with Paramount Studios and Fox Family Studios. While at Paramount, Dawn was offered the opportunity to develop, produce and write freelance projects including: The Thin Green Line, an investigative environmental news series for the Outdoor Life Network; Conquest, an action/adventure documentary about a Brazilian adventure race; Secrets of Travel Survival, a 6-part series for the Travel Channel and Impact, a dramatic medical program for the Discovery Health Channel. Dawn wrote, produced, and directed several of the highest rated series for the Discovery Network Family Including; Plastic Surgery Before and After, Biker Build-Off,. Dawn has also partnered with the Smithsonian Network and National Geographic Network.

Most resently Dawn was the Executive Producer for the Emmy-nominated series Ice Road Truckers, the highest rated program ever to air on The History Channel.


David Satorius

Children’s TV Writer, Segment Producer

David Sartorius is a New York-based writer and producer. Since 2002, he has worked with 4Kids Productions writing such hit children’s television programs as Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!

As a producer, he has created successful promotional campaigns for more than a dozen 4Kids' properties including Viva Pinata, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sonic X and Yu-Gi-Oh! In Spring 2009, his Viva Pinata image spot “Whacked” took Silver for best children’s promo at the prestigious ProMax awards.


Ken Fountain

Art Director, Lead Animator

Ken is with Dreamworks in Los Angeles. He worked on Kung Fu Panda, Monsters versus Aliens, and is currently working on Shrek 4 in 3D. Ken was a freelancer when Dean retained him to work on the animation for the Ebos Adventures pilot episode. In fact, Ken claims the Ebos are one of the reasons he was hired by Dreamworks, when they saw his character animation, his movements and level of expertise.


Eric Martin

Music Director

Eric is a musician and sound designer in and around Chicago. Eric is a big kid at heart, who loves to write music that is fun and connects with reaches children and more importantly, their parents too.  Eric’s creative use of instruments and whimsical lyrics has made the Ebos’ music a major hit with our audience, (both young and old).


Melissa Young

Voice of Lilly

Melissa has lived in Chicago for 11 years after graduating from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA and has had the pleasure of working with many off loop theater companies. She has acted and directed many productions during her Chicago stay and even took the original play Me, The Devil and Other Friends by Fannon Holland to the New York International Fringe Festival in 2003. Melissa is a member of the Chicago Cabaret Professionals and has been writing Cabaret showcases for years. Her first one woman show The Life and Times of a She Devil premiered at Davenports Cabaret Bar in January of 2004. Her cabaret, Songs That Got Me Through premiered at Davenports on April 2007. She just got back from her triumphant New York Debut at the premier cabaret club of New York City, The Duplex premiering her latest show Red Headed Broadway! Know for her power belt and comedic timing,

Melissa is a voice over/commercial acting professional by day and Cabaret star by night.


Michael Wollner

Voice of Jack

Not new to cartoons and voices, this is Michael’s fourth animated series. He played a number of voices in Motion Pictures Studios series “Threads”, as well as the loveable Flango in the Bix Pix production of “Doh Doh Island” and the title role of Lash in the animated series “Lashes Lessons”. He is thrilled to be working in the voiceover field again as the voice of Jack with Ebos’ Adventures. Starring in the commercial campaign for Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Crunch has been a breakfast treat and landing in the top 50 funniest commercials of 2007 was truly a surprise. Michael’s published book climbed all the way to #7 on the Barnes and Noble best seller list. You can also see him on Comcast cable (On Demand) in “Resurrection Mary” a movie he co-stars in as well as helped to produce. With his daughter at just the right age to appreiate it, Ebos’ Adventures is still his favorite project and can’t wait for more cool adventures with his silly counterpart
