Dean Bushala is an international award-winning director and director of photography specializing in both television commercials and documentary film. Bushala’s work has won ProMax awards in Europe and an Emmy-nomination in the United States.
In 1995, Bushala was hired by Atomic Entertainment to help design and launch Poland's first native language music television station - Atomic TV. While working with Atomic, he developed show concepts, directed commercials and designed the network's on-air look including ID and Branding. The network proved so successful, it was purchased by MTV Europe and Bushala was hired to launch Romania's music television network.
Upon his return to the United States, Bushala became a highly-regarded director and cameraman for reality television. Putting his documentary experience to work, he shot and directed some of the highest viewed series on the Discovery Channel including Biker Build-Off and Plastic Surgery: Before and After. In 2007, his work on Ice Road Truckers earned him an Emmy nomination for Best Cinematography. It was the highest rated series ever for the History Channel. Most recently, Bushala worked as a director of photography on the hit Discovery Channel show American Loggers.
